Putting on a helmet protects your brain from harm. Salvation also offers protection for us, but from something far more important. We can put our salvation and our identity in the God who gives us new life!
A shield is a defense mechanism in armor- protecting us with a layer of safety from our enemies. We can use our faith in God as a layer of safety and protection, too.
